The 777 is fantastic, but if you told me I could only fly one on FSX for the next year it would be the 744. I have both, and I find the immersion with the 744 to be amazing. Want a very modern aircraft, less of a work load but amazing airplane performance, range, and (if you get the 77W) more popular passenger plane, get the 777. To sum it up: Want more of a work load with more things to do with technology like the 737 go with the 747 and lots of different options for the airplane. The only downside of the 747 is that less real world airlines are flying them (if you like flying real world current flights) and the 777 does have more range, though with the 747-400ER how much more range would you need.Īlso the 777 comes only with the LR and F model, while the much more popular 777-300ER is part of another package for additional money. Though with Cargo you can fly anything you want too. The 777 is a bunch of put in auto and go.īoth are for long haul flying.
The 747 is a higher workload airplane compared to the 777. Also, I really like how you can make your 744 more modern with LCD screens or more retro with the CRT displays and non-electronic A/P displays, no auto start etc. Its not as hands on as the 737 but its close. I also enjoy the older technology and more hands on approach. What I like a lot about the 747 is this: In one package you get pretty much four different planes. Though the 777 has great set of options as well. The 747 is newer so it has some more options and things the 777 and 737 don't have. Both are fantastic and at some point you will want both.
